Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Prograamer, a sole trader based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through www.prograamer.com.

What we collect

• Account details — your email address, and the display name and country you optionally provide. Email is required to create an account and to deliver what you buy.
• Purchase records — what you bought, the amount, currency, country, payment provider and the provider’s payment reference. We keep these to grant access, issue receipts, handle refunds, and meet tax and accounting obligations.
• Course progress — which lessons you have completed, so the site can resume where you left off.
• Technical data — standard server logs, and a country code derived from your IP address, used to show the correct currency.

We never receive or store your card details. Card data is entered directly with our payment providers and never reaches our servers.

Who processes your data

We use these providers to run the service. Each processes data on our behalf under their own terms:

• Supabase — database, authentication and file storage
• Vercel — website hosting and server logs
• Stripe — card payments outside India
• Razorpay — payments within India
• Zoho (ZeptoMail) — transactional email such as receipts
• YouTube — embedded videos, which set cookies when played

Marketing email

Receipts and account notices are sent because they are necessary to provide what you bought, and cannot be opted out of while you hold an active purchase. Promotional email is separate: we send it only if you opt in, and every promotional message carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately.

How long we keep it

Account and progress data is kept while your account exists. Purchase records are kept for seven years after the transaction, as Australian tax law requires — this means some records survive account deletion, reduced to what is needed for that obligation.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information. Email hello@prograamer.com and we will respond within 2 business days. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If we change this policy materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
